If microeconomics has as its object the behavior of individual agents and organizations, macroeconomics studies economies in an aggregated way, at regional, national or global levels. Traditionally, macroeconomic studies are focused on indicators such as production (GDP, GNP), growth, unemployment, inflation, investment, savings and trade balance. Our aim in this book is to assess how environmental issues are directly linked to the functioning of economies and how it is possible to ensure that economies achieve their goals in a sustainable way. It is important to start with the circular flow of income, which gave rise to the main macroeconomic aggregates
